Week
4 of the college football has come and went but it did not
disappoint. In the top 25 there were a few upsets and a few almost upsets. A
few teams as expected took care of business and rolled big, while other
struggled but righted the ship in the end. Let us take a look at the upsets
first. In a top 25 match up Texas Christian university number 16 in the nation
traveled to stillwater to play the then ranked number 6 Cowboys of Oklahoma
State. In a somewhat surprising upset TCU upsets OSU and beats them 44 to 31 in
their own house. In another top 25 upset the North Carolina State Wolf Pack
traveled into Tallahassee and upset Florida State 27 to 21. I guess even the
Seminoles can’t turn their backs on the Wolf Pack. Therefore, down went number 12. The
Sun Devils of Arizona State at home in the desert went Duck hunting and pulled
off the upset beating number 24 Oregon 37 to 35. In a small upset out of the
B10 University of Central Florida travels to Maryland and stomps them in their
own house 38 to 10.
Teams in the top 25 that rolled as
expected were number 1 Alabama who rolled to a huge 59 to 0 SEC match up winner
against the Commodores of Vanderbilt. Much like Northwestern University,
Vanderbilt is known for producing really smart people but apparently they
couldn’t figure out the formula for scoring on Bama’s defense. Vanderbilt is
probably not alone in that area. Elsewhere in the top 25 number
2 Clemson was at home and brought in Boston College winning comfortably 34 to
7. The number three team in the Country Oklahoma went to Waco TX to play the
pesky Bears of Baylor and barely escaped the compound with a 49 to 41 win. Not
a whole lot of defense was being played in that one. In a scare for Penn State
fans, it took a last second walk off touchdown to stay undefeated in Iowa.
Maybe it was the pink locker rooms that opposing teams have to deal with when
traveling to play the Hawkeyes that got into Penn State’s heads or maybe it was
simply just Iowa is under ranked as usual. The number 5 team in the country USC
Trojans traveled to Cal in a Pack 12 match up and beat them by 10 30 to 20.
Number 7 Washington rolls Colorado 37 to 10. This brings us to my Michigan
Wolverines. The number 8 team in the Country travels to West Lafayette and has
a lot of trouble in the 1st half as they trailed Purdue 10 to 7 at
the half and starting Quarterback Wilton Speight was knocked out the game.
Backup quarterback John O’korn came in as was pretty damn good. In the second half Michigan, O’korn and the
offense got it together and beat Purdue on Purdue’s home coming day 28 to 10.
There might be a quarterback change going forward if O’korn is able to continue
to deliver.
Staying in the B10 conference the
number 9 team in the Country Wisconsin was on a bye week and thus since they
did not play will still be number 9 next week. Also in the B10 and top 10 that
team from down south won in the horseshoe 54 to 21 over the running rebels of
UNLV. The number 11 team in the Country and the alma mater of Lions quarterback
Matt Stafford the Georgia Bulldogs opened up SEC play at home against number 17
Mississippi State and beat them handily 31 to 3. The 13 ranked Hooke’s of Virginia Tech roll
at home 38 to 0 over Old Dominion. What
the fuck is a Hooke? The number 14 ranked Hurricanes
of Miami also known as THE U rolled the Toledo Rockets 52 to 30. I guess
Toledo’s rockets must not be very big kind of like “Rocket Man’s” nuclear
threats. Auburn number 15 goes to Missouri and “show them a thing or
51” as they win big 51 to 14. Number 18 Washington State pounds Nevada 45 to 7
and number 19 Louisville fresh off of getting beat down by Clemson last week
returns to their winning ways and pounds Kent State 42 to 3. Number 20 Florida
starts SEC play on the Road against Kentucky and barely escapes 28 to 27 in
another to close for comfort game for gator fans. Number 21 South Florida
faired a lot better than State of Florida brothers Florida and Florida State as
they win in a landslide at home beating Temple 43 to 7. Number 22 San Diego
State escapes with a 4 point win over Air Force 28 to 24. To round out the top
25 LSU number 25 beats Syracuse comfortably at home 35 to 26.
In
B10 action outside of the top 25 Michigan State brought Notre Dame
into East Lansing and wished that had not as they got pounded 38 to 18.
Nebraska at home beats a terrible Rutgers team but only by 10 points 27 to 17. Indiana
at home rolls Georgia Southern 52 to 17. Along with Wisconsin, Minnesota,
Illinois, and Northwestern were also on a Bi week. There should be a little
movement both up and possibly down this after this week. However, the top 10
and most of the top 25 will remain as is. Until next week this has been a
product of Bad Natives Sports and you
guessed it yeah that’s us. So with that being said there is only one more
thing to tell you for this article. Fuck it I am out!
